This year, the Bihar Board's Intermediate and Matriculation examinations are being conducted with unprecedented strictness. The rules for entry into the examination centers, which were already stringent, have been made even stricter. The board has given clear instructions to the examination centers that students must arrive at the center before the stipulated time. The entry gate will only be open for half an hour.
The Intermediate examinations are starting on February 2nd, and for the morning shift, the main gate of the center will open at 8:30 AM and close promptly at 9:00 AM. This means that students arriving after 9:00 AM will not be allowed inside under any circumstances. The administration has appealed to the students to reach their respective examination centers by 8:00 AM. The same system will be in place for the second shift from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
In this regard, the Additional Chief Secretary reviewed the preparations with administrative, police, and education department officials via video conferencing on Tuesday. He clearly stated that strict action will be taken against those who break the rules or attempt to force their way in. If any student tries to climb over the boundary wall or forcibly enters due to arriving late, it will be considered a criminal offense.
Officials will also not be allowed to carry phones
To maintain the transparency of the examination, the surveillance system has also been made more stringent. This time, officials going to the examination centers for inspection will not be allowed to carry mobile phones. They will have to leave their mobile phones in their vehicles. The administration believes that this will prevent any kind of malpractice.
This year, the Intermediate examination is being conducted at 81 centers in the district, compared to 74 last year. All center superintendents have been instructed to display the entry time prominently outside the center so that students do not face any difficulties.
Dates also fixed for checking answer sheets.
The examination will be held from February 2nd to February 13th. After this, the process of checking the answer sheets will begin. The Bihar Board has also fixed the dates for evaluation. The evaluation of intermediate (Class 12) answer sheets will begin on February 27, while the evaluation of matriculation (Class 10) answer sheets will start on March 2. Five evaluation centers have been set up for intermediate exams and six for matriculation exams in the district.
District Education Officer Kumar Arvind Sinha said that a provisional list of examiners has been released. Center directors, supervisors, and computer teachers will receive training at a workshop in Patna on January 29, where Bihar Board officials will explain the rules and procedures for evaluating the answer sheets.
