According to Dimsum Dailycourt documents show that Fly For Miles HK Limited, owned by influencer Regis Cheung Lim On, known publicly as Fly For Miles, is seeking to recover the outstanding amount from Innovative Digital Media Limited. The claim alleges that the agency paid only part of the agreed fees despite receiving extensive marketing services.

The two parties have worked together since 2016, with Fly For Miles promoting airline mileage programmes, credit card rewards and loan products for major financial institutions, including Hang Seng Bank, Standard Chartered Hong Kong and Dah Sing Banking Group. The lawsuit states that between July 2023 and October 2025, the influencer’s company delivered services valued at approximately HK$32.67 million under the agreed terms.

The filing alleges that Innovative Digital Media failed to settle invoices within the stipulated 60-day payment period. Despite repeated demands, the agency reportedly paid only HK$1.174 million on Jan. 14.

Cheung has previously spoken publicly about the financial risks associated with influencer work, likening the industry to construction contracting, where payments often pass through multiple intermediaries. He has said delayed payments are common and can sometimes take years to resolve, while many promotional campaigns require influencers to advance upfront costs, such as discount coupons, before reimbursement.

On his website, Cheung describes himself as a travel enthusiast born in the 1990s who helps consumers maximize airline mileage programmes and credit card reward schemes. He states that at one point he held up to 32 credit cards simultaneously and redeemed 13 sets of free flight tickets within a single year.
