State Bank of India (SBI) has offered a great opportunity for young professionals with experience in the banking sector. The country's largest public sector bank has released the official notification for the Circle-Based Officer (CBO) recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment, SBI is going to fill a total of 2,050 regular and 223 backlog positions across various circles in the country. The online application process has already started on January 29, 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can apply through the official website within the stipulated time frame.

Online registration for SBI CBO recruitment 2026 started on January 29, 2026, and the last date to apply is February 18, 2026. The notification was released on January 28, 2026. Admit cards are likely to be issued in March 2026, and the online written examination may be conducted in the same month. Educational Qualification
Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must be graduates from a recognized university. Candidates holding professional degrees such as Engineering, Medical, CA, or Cost Accounting can also apply. Along with this, a minimum of two years of experience as an officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank is mandatory.

Age Limit
The age limit is between 21 and 30 years, while the reserved categories will get relaxation as per the rules. Knowledge of the local language of the circle for which the application is being submitted is also required.

What is the selection process?
The SBI CBO recruitment selection process will be completed in four stages. The first stage will be an online examination of 170 marks, which will include an objective test of 120 marks and a descriptive test of 50 marks. This will be followed by document screening, then an interview of 50 marks, and finally, a local language test.

What will the salary be?
Selected candidates will be appointed under the Junior Management Grade Scale-I. The initial basic salary will be ₹48,480 per month. In addition, they will receive DA, HRA, petrol allowance, and medical facilities. The application fee is ₹750 for General, OBC, and EWS categories, while no fee will be charged from SC, ST, and PwBD candidates.
