Hera Pheri 3: Why did Hera Pheri 3 get stuck? Paresh Rawal broke his silence, the whole truth came out

Hera Pheri 3: Fans are eagerly waiting for Hera Pheri 3, which will mark the much-awaited comeback of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Sunil Shetty. However, recent reports suggested that the shooting of the film has been delayed, leading to speculations that Paresh Rawal could be the reason for the delay. Now, the veteran actor has finally clarified the situation.

“The delay is not because of me,” said Paresh Rawal

In an interview with The Comedy Factory, Paresh Rawal spoke on the delay rumors. Responding to claims that the project was stalled due to his leaving the film, the actor said that the delay has nothing to do with him.

Paresh said, “All the talk about Akshay Kumar filing a ₹25 crore case against me is old. That is all resolved. The delay is due to some technical issues between the producer and Akshay Kumar. I have nothing to do with it. Once things are resolved between them, I will just have to sign the papers.”

What was the reason for this confusion?

In May last year, Paresh Rawal had announced his separation from Hera Pheri 3 after shooting a promotional video, which left fans shocked. After he left the film, Akshay Kumar – who has bought the rights of the franchise and is producing the film under his banner Cape of Good Films – reportedly took legal action to the project. However, the matter was later resolved and Paresh Rawal officially confirmed his return to the film.

Shooting expected to start soon

Earlier reports suggested that the shooting of Hera Pheri 3 would begin around February or March, but now the timeline has changed. The film is being directed by Priyadarshan, who also directed the original film.

A legendary franchise

The first Hera Pheri was released in 2000 and became a cult classic, with Paresh Rawal’s character Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, Akshay Kumar’s Raju and Sunil Shetty’s Shyam becoming iconic. Its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, was released in 2006 and was equally well received by the audience. With Paresh Rawal clarifying things, fans can now hope that once the internal technical issues are resolved, the much-awaited comedy entertainer will go ahead without any further delay.
