Most people ignore these symptoms considering them to be the effect of fatigue or age. According to metabolic expert Sudhanshu Rai, if these early signs are recognized on time, serious heart diseases can be avoided.

When the heart can’t deliver enough oxygen-rich blood to the brain, it’s common to feel dizzy or faint. Sometimes it may also be accompanied by blurred vision. If this problem occurs frequently or during light activities, it should not be ignored considering it a weakness.

Waking up repeatedly at night, shortness of breath, coughing or getting up frequently to urinate can be a sign of heart weakness. When lying down, fluid in the body shifts upward, which increases pressure on the heart and makes breathing difficult.

chest tightness or discomfort

Feeling heaviness, pressure or tightness in the chest can be a sign of reduced blood supply to the heart. It can also be an early warning of angina or heart attack. Even mild or intermittent pain can be serious, so any type of chest pain should not be ignored.

fatigue in daily activities

If you are feeling more tired than before while climbing stairs, walking a short distance or doing household work, it may be a sign of reduced pumping capacity of the heart. This is called exercise intolerance and is considered an early symptom of weakening heart function.

sudden weight gain and swelling

Weight gain of 2 to 3 kg in a short time may not be a sign of fat but of accumulation of water in the body. If along with this, swelling is seen in the ankles, feet or lower legs, then one should be alert. This happens when the heart becomes weak and cannot pump blood properly.
