India is now the fastest-growing market for the programme, which has over 13 million members worldwide.

Visitor growth drives programme expansion

Etihad Guest has been adding about six new members every minute in India. The airline’s expansion aims to connect its rewards programme to everyday spending in shopping, dining, and travel.

“India is one of the most important markets for Etihad, with 185 flights per week to 11 gateways across the country. We are proud to be partnering with five prestigious brands across India… Integrating the programme into our members’ everyday lives showcases the value of the Etihad Guest programme for Indian consumers,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer, Etihad Airways.

Etihad Guest members can now earn miles when staying at The Postcard Hotel’s properties in India, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka. Members staying two to three nights earn 2,000 miles, while four nights or more earn 4,000 miles plus a complimentary night.

The airline has also partnered with Flipkart to allow members to exchange Flipkart Supercoins for Etihad Guest Miles and vice versa. Swiggy joins the programme to let members earn miles on food, quick commerce, and dining out, along with six months of complimentary Swiggy One membership. Shoppers Stop India offers existing members one-year complimentary Platinum status on its loyalty programme and the ability to earn miles on purchases.
