Vacuums are a staple in everyday cleaning for most households, especially if you've got pets. Finding the right model can make a big difference, helping you clean quickly and efficiently so you're not endlessly running the vacuum back and forth. Shark is a big name in the vacuum world, and right now the brand has £100 off a model that one shopper says has made them "obsessed with vacuuming".

Express Shopping Editor Aimee Robinson has had her Shark vacuum for four years and said: "It's honestly been a game-changer and made the process of vacuuming so much easier". While Shark vacuums aren't always the cheapest on the market - you can pick up cordless models for as little as £60 on Amazon - they're known for being reliable, and the brand regularly runs deals and discounts.

One of Shark's most affordable options, the Classic Anti Hair Wrap Upright Pet Vacuum, usually costs £299.99 but has been reduced to £199.99 in the winter sale, saving shoppers £100.

According to Shark, the vacuum has been designed with pet owners in mind. It comes with a dedicated pet tool, a furniture upholstery tool, and a crevice tool that's just the right size for tackling hard-to-reach spots and hidden crumbs.

One shopper said: "It fits under beds and furniture, it reaches cobwebs and gets rid of all the pet hairs. The pet tool cleans the dog beds thoroughly - even the dog hairs out of the car boot. I became a bit obsessed with vacuuming for a few weeks. I love it so much!"

It uses a special brush roll designed to prevent hair tangling, and it works well throughout the home thanks to two brush rolls in one. Shark says this allows it to switch seamlessly from carpet to hard floors without stopping.

Unlike older or more traditional models, it doesn't require bags. Instead, it uses a filter that can be removed, washed, and replaced. There are also built-in LED headlights to help make sure no dirt gets missed.

That said, the vacuum's capacity is 0.83L, which may be on the small side for some households.

While it's a corded vacuum, it still offers decent freedom of movement, with an eight-metre-long cord and an extra-long hose that extends up to 1.6 metres.

And although it weighs 6.5kg and isn't the lightest option available, the top can be lifted off the wand to turn it into a handheld vacuum. This makes it easier to use on sofas, stairs, and awkward areas like curtains or underneath furniture without feeling too heavy. A shopper who switched to the Shark from a Dyson said: "I am so glad I did. It's not too heavy, it's easy to move, very ergonomic, and the attachment even fits in the slot!"

One shopper said: "The best vacuum I've ever had. Very powerful. It's a bit heavy but does an excellent job. Lifts off the dirt I never knew existed."

"Fantastic", wrote another. "I could have made another dog with the amount of hidden pet hair in my carpet."

But it also worked really well for picking up long hair. One reviewer wrote: "I have used this for a couple of weeks and am really impressed with the amount of dust and dirt it picks up. I have long hair, which the vacuum picks up easily and without getting tangled, and I love the automatic detection of hard floors and carpets. Also super easy to assemble when you take it out of the box."

Some found the vacuum too heavy, with one review saying: "That's too heavy even just for pulling on the ground. Lifting it is even worse, and you need strong arms."
