In honor of Mahatma Gandhi's 78th death anniversary, a floral tribute was held at Gandhi Chowk, organized by the Deshbhakt Sardar Ajit Singh Memorial Committee in Dalhousie.
Numerous dignitaries and local residents gathered to pay their respects by laying flowers at Gandhi's statue. Attendees included Tehsildar Ramesh Chauhan, DSP Mayank Sharma, Baldev Khosla from the Artists and Writers Forum, social worker Snehlata, senior citizen Daya Ram, Treasurer Munish Thakur, and Darshan Kumar from the SDM Office, along with retired teacher Vikas Kumar and Municipal Council staff members Ramesh Kumar and Kewal Singh. Other notable figures included Tilak Tandon, Tilak Raj, Bhan Singh, Kuldeep Chauhan, Pawan Tandon, Pawan Thakur, Kuldeep Kumar, Jagat Ram, and journalists Kuldeep Raj and Satish Kumar.
Also present were the committee's Executive President Subhash Chauhan, General Secretary Virender Thakur, Vice President Ram Singh Chauhan, and other esteemed citizens of the town.
The event was led by General Secretary Virender Thakur. During the ceremony, Mahatma Gandhi's beloved bhajan “Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye Re” resonated throughout the valleys of Dalhousie, fostering a reflective and spiritual ambiance. The event concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
At the conclusion of the program, the organizing committee expressed their gratitude to all dignitaries and attendees for their participation.
