United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. This team will be captained by Muhammad Wasim, who is an experienced batsman and is UAE's highest run-scorer in T20 International. Let us tell you, this is the third T20 World Cup of UAE team. They had previously also participated in 2014 and 2022, where both times they could not progress beyond the group stage. This time the team is going to focus on improving its performance.
There are also 4 Hindu players in this 15-member team, which are Aryansh Sharma, Dhruv Parashar, Harshit Kaushik and Mayank Kumar. Apart from this, the team also includes Simranjit Singh, who comes from Sikh religion. The special thing is that these five players are of Indian origin, who play for the United Arab Emirates team. On the other hand, the head coach of the team is Lalchand Rajput, who is a former Indian player. He will work closely with former Pakistani fast bowlers Yasir Arafat and Stanley Chiozza.

UAE is in Group D for the T20 World Cup 2026, where they will face Canada, Afghanistan, New Zealand and South Africa. Their campaign will start on 10th February with the match against New Zealand in Chennai.
