Redmi Smartphone: To strengthen its grip on the smartphone market, Redmi has officially launched its new Redmi Turbo 5 series. Two premium smartphones Redmi Turbo 5 and Redmi Turbo 5 Max have been introduced under this series.
Bigger battery, latest processor, superfast charging and premium design look like iPhone 17 Pro are the key features of this series. Interestingly, the Turbo 5 Max comes in an attractive Sun Orange color option, similar to the iPhone 17 Pro.
Price and Variants
Redmi Turbo 5 has been priced starting at CNY 2299 (around ₹30,000). The phone is available in 12GB to 16GB RAM and 256GB to 512GB storage options.
While the Redmi Turbo 5 Max starts at CNY 2499 (around ₹33,000), the top variant goes up to around ₹44,000. Both the phones get White, Black, Blue and the Max model comes in a special Sun Orange color.
Design and display
Both the smartphones come with a premium glass finish and the rear camera module looks similar to the iPhone 17 series.

Both the phones come with a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 3500 nits of peak brightness.
Processor and software
The Redmi Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the Turbo 5 Max is powered by the more powerful Dimensity 9500 Ultra processor. These phones run on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16.
All modern connectivity features like 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC are available here. Also with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, these phones are more protected against water and dust.
Camera and battery
Both the phones have a dual rear camera setup of 50MP primary (OIS) + 8MP ultra-wide and a 20MP front camera.
