New Delhi: Nitin Nabin, the National President of the BJP, is set to conduct a series of organizational assessments and outreach initiatives during his two-day trip to Goa, commencing Saturday.
This visit aims to bolster the party's foundational structure and invigorate its members in anticipation of forthcoming political challenges.
At approximately 10:00 a.m., the BJP leader will honor the memories of former Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and Goa's inaugural Chief Minister, Bandodkar, by laying floral tributes at their memorials located at Miramar Beach in Panjim, acknowledging their significant contributions to both the state and the nation.
Shortly after, at 10:50 a.m., Nabin will speak at a Karyakarta Sammelan at the Taleigao Community Centre in Caranzalem, where he will engage with booth presidents and mandal committee members, emphasizing the necessity of organizational discipline, coordination at the booth level, and ongoing public engagement.
Following his morning activities, Nabin will enjoy lunch at the home of a party worker in the Saligao constituency at 1:30 p.m., showcasing the party's commitment to fostering close relationships with its grassroots members.
In the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m., he will participate in a booth committee meeting for the Mapusa constituency in North Goa, assessing booth-level readiness and strategizing to enhance the party's influence. This will be succeeded by a discussion with the North Goa District Committee at their office in Mapusa at 4:45 p.m., where they will delve into organizational matters and future initiatives.
On Friday, prior to his engagements, Nabin led a meeting with senior party officials in Goa, marking his first visit to the state since taking on the leadership role.
Arriving at Manohar International Airport in Mopa on Friday morning, he was welcomed by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, BJP Goa unit president Damodar Naik, and other senior officials. He then proceeded to the BJP headquarters in Panaji for discussions on organizational strategies.
