The Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram will host the fifth and final T20I match between Team India and New Zealand on January 31. The “Men in Blue” have seen Ishan Kishan perform at his best during the series. He was unable to compete in the fourth T20I match because of an injury.

Sitanshu Kotak who works as Team India’s batting coach announced before the fifth match that the left-handed batsman will probably join the team.

Kotak praised Kishan by saying that he has always been good whenever he got opportunities.

Ishan Kishan has always performed well during his opportunities according to him. Wicketkeeper batters have limited chances to play in matches. Ishan has performed well in all his matches. The way he played two innings was really encouraging because in power play, you are looking for someone to play the way he played,” he said.

The current information shows that he will probably participate in the event. The physio is here for practice. The physios will decide on the matter. The situation seems very likely to happen according to him.

The batting coach explained how players like Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav together with Abhishek Sharma enable the team to pursue an attacking style of gameplay.

“Some of the players are aggressive and what we plan, we go sorting through that and depending on wickets in hand and the situation, and whether we are chasing or posting, it will help us. But fortunately we have players who can play very aggressively and there have been such good players in India as well so that’s a great thing he said.

The left-handed batsman has complete knowledge about his batting plans according to his teammate who called him a highly intelligent player.

“Obviously, it is his plans, what he wants to do. But we definitely discuss what pace to bowl and what areas to bowl (at nets), and what would be the better shot if it doesn’t go fine. Kotak said that he is an intelligent player who uses his mind to think.

The “Men in Blue” will attempt to achieve a successful conclusion to the T20I series after they have already won the series. The “Black Caps” will compete in the match to protect their national honor.
