While March in the UK is still quite gloomy, there are many places in the world where Brits can catch some serious sunshine.

March can feel like a long month in the UK, with winter still hanging on and very few warm days to look forward to. It's also the point in the year when many people start searching for sunshine and planning their first proper break. While much of Europe stays cool, other parts of the world are already comfortably warm or even hot by early spring.

The Met Office has shared ten destinations where temperatures sit above 20C in March. These places offer reliable sunshine, low rainfall and heat that feels more like summer than early spring.
