When Nicola Peltz married Brooklyn Beckham in April 2022, the union brought together two powerful, high-profile families and ushered the actress into an even brighter spotlight. But as scrutiny around the couple has intensified, so has interest in the apparent narrowing of their once-thriving friendship circles.
From A-list pop stars to childhood friends who had known Brooklyn long before fame, several relationships that once seemed close have noticeably cooled. Their 'throuple' with Selena Gomez is no more, and Brooklyn is said to have fallen out of contact with his pack of UK friends including Gordon Ramsay's kids, who he grew up with.
Here, The Mirror takes a look at who has been dropped from their shrinking circle and who has still made the cut...

Selena Gomez
Perhaps the most talked-about friendship of Nicola and Brooklyn's was with Selena Gomez. The trio first connected after the Academy Museum Gala in October 2022. Within weeks, Nicola, Brooklyn and Selena were seen enjoying holidays together, spending New Year's Eve side by side and appearing regularly on each other's social media feeds.
In January 2023, Selena jokingly referred to the group as a "throuple" in an Instagram caption, a playful nod to their closeness that immediately went viral. The singer even commented "husband" on one of Brooklyn's Instagram posts.
Nicola and Selena later cemented their friendship by getting matching angel tattoos. At the time, Nicola described Selena as a "soul sister", while Selena called Nicola "one of my favourite people on this planet". Brooklyn gushed: "I love when my wife makes new friends, especially really great friends. You know, we all get along."
But by late 2024, fans began noticing a change. The public interactions slowed, shared appearances stopped, and the trio were no longer seen together. When Nicola and Brooklyn renewed their vows in 2025, Selena was not present. Nicola previously admitted in an interview with The Times that they both struggle with jealousy, but admitted she finds it "sexy" when her husband is protective of her.
So did the green-eyed monster end their friendship? Psychologist Louise Goddard-Crawley tells The Mirror that couples often pull back when they have a shared friend in a bid to maintain 'boundaries'. "It can get complicated when a friendship becomes triangulated within a couple, where one friend is very emotionally close to both partners rather than having two separate relationships," she says. "Over time, most couples need clearer boundaries to protect their relationship, and that can sometimes mean naturally stepping back from friendships that once felt very close."
Selena and her now husband Benny Blanco later tied the knot in Santa Barbara California with a host of celebrity guests including Taylor Swift , Paris Hilton and Ed Sheeran attending. But Nicola and Brooklyn were noticeably absent from the celebrations.
Insiders reportedly told The Sun: "Selena isn't expecting anything at all from Nicola and Brooklyn anymore, there is a feeling of something broken and the fact that they didn't even send a message to congratulate her and Benny for their wedding is something that really did hurt her. The fact that Nicola and Brooklyn didn't show any effort or even a bit of love to her and her husband in that wonderful time was very, very disappointing."
However a source told The Daily Mail that Selena's wedding was for close family and friends only, insisting, "There's no drama." "Selena's wedding was an intimate, private celebration with her inner circle. Relationships evolve, and while she and Nicola aren't as close these days, there's nothing but well wishes," a source said.
Brooklyn's old friendships 'left behind'It's not just Nicola's friendships that appear to have faded. Brooklyn, who grew up surrounded by a tight-knit circle of friends in the UK including Madonna and Guy Ritchie's son Rocco, Noel Gallagher's daughter Anais and Gordon Ramsay's children. They were often pictured hanging out in west London as teenagers and Rocco and Brooklyn even attended arts college together.
He was often spotted clubbing with Jack Ramsay and has even told how it was Gordon who taught him how to cook. "I actually really enjoy cooking. Gordon Ramsay taught me how to do a great beef wellington," he once said.
He told Teen Vogue in 2017: 'I've changed schools quite a few times but I have some close friends that have known me since I was very young, nothing ever changes with them. I have a handful of really close friends, but in particular I'd say Jack Ramsay and Rocco Ritchie. I love going to football matches, the Skate Park and music festivals [with my friends]. I also like to box.'
He was so close to Anais that she described him as a 'brother'. Denying rumours that she had dated Rocco and Brooklyn, she told the London Evening Standard's ES Magazine, "I'm not dating either of them, no. Me and Brooklyn, people like to pick up on because we're seen out together quite a lot. And because we're such good friends, they like to capture photos where we're hugging. No - we're like brother and sister. We have a really good relationship. I like to help him out with girls."
But amid his ongoing feud with his parents - who remain close with Gordon and wife Tana - Brooklyn and Nicola did not attend Holly's wedding to Adam Peaty in December. "David and Victoria see Gordon and Tana (Gordon's wife) almost as family. The kids all grew up together. Brooklyn always loved his time with them all but his and Jack's friendship isn't really there any more which is a great shame," a source said. "Gordon and Tana have been upset at the fall-out too. They are very, very fond of Brooklyn. They've known him since he was tiny."
So why has Brooklyn taken a step back since relocating to the US to live with Nicola and her family? According to reports, Brooklyn's family have long feared that she is the one pulling the strings. "They think Nicola is a bit of a horror but she isn't going anywhere anytime soon. Nicola loves having Brooklyn at her side and she loves him very much. But he is also very useful," a source said.
"The wider Beckham family and Brooklyn's friends – many of whom he no longer sees – take the view that he does what Nicola wants. From Beckhams' point of view, it's not nice to watch."
Tiny inner circle
Before their relationship, both Nicola and Brooklyn were known for their broad social networks. Nicola, who grew up in New York and Los Angeles, moved easily between Hollywood circles, fashion insiders and industry peers. Brooklyn, meanwhile, was often described as being sociable and loyal to his friends.
Since marrying, however, the couple appear to have become an increasingly tight unit. Outside of selfies with each other, their main contact appears to be with Nicola's family. It was., in fact, her brother Diesel - one of 10 kids - who introduced them. "I actually met Brooklyn like six years ago at Coachella, through one of my brothers; his name is Diesel," the actress revealed in an interview with Wonderland Magazine in 2022.
Brooklyn has also become close to Nicola's older brother William, who joined the couple for a night out in LA to celebrate actor Oliver Trevena’s 45th birthday over the weekend. William previously gushed about her sister's lavish nuptials to Brooklyn back in 2022, writing: "My baby sisters married! I love u guys I’m so happy for you two @nicolaannepeltzbeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham."
