' Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil ', directed by Nitish Sekhade , has already stolen the hearts of the audience with little to no prior promotion after the success of his Malayalam film 'Falimy'. The film features Jiiva along with the cast of Thambi Ramaiya, Ilaverasu, and Prarthana . The success meet of the film was recently held in Chennai in the presence of the cast and crew of the movie. At the meet, Jiiva gave an emotional speech that touched hearts.
Jiiva acknowledges local support and community love
During the meet, Jiiva said, “We stayed as a family in Kumbhili for four to five months while shooting this film. The locals were so supportive with their love that they conducted small poojas for us and wished our film a grand success. When we left after the shooting, the way they bid us goodbye still lingers in my eyes. The love of the people is one of the reasons for this.”
Through this, he was referring to the affection of the local community and their support for the film.
A gratitude note for the director and the family
Jiiva went on to describe director Nitish Sekhade as “the real hero of this film.” He said, “Nitish pulled out the best from the actors and perfected each frame. For me, as an actor, the opportunity to score a giant Tamil hit through this film was made possible only because of his efforts.”
Jiiva also spoke about his father, R. B. Choudary , who had made 99 films, and said, “No one has ever done a felicitation for my father. Kannan Ravi set it up through the Tamil Sangam and for me, it is the greatest achievement in my life. My father’s blessings have made this happen.”
Reflecting on the support behind the story, Jiiva mentioned, “V.T.V. Ganesh was the first to recommend this story. When we met the producer, he liked it immediately and told us to go ahead whenever we wanted, even giving an advance. That trust has now turned into a big success, and these moments have become sweet memories.”
