Celebrating Bravery: Indian Air Force Honors Heroes of Operation Sindoor

New Delhi: During a recent event, Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Western Air Command, praised the heroes of Operation Sindoor, emphasizing that operational success is built on thorough joint training, effective resource management, and the unwavering spirit of the Air Warriors.


The occasion, known as the 'Sindoor Shaurya Samman Sammelan', was organized by the Headquarters of Western Air Command to honor the courageous Air Warriors whose outstanding bravery and service have brought pride to both the Indian Air Force and the nation.


The ceremony recognized personnel who received esteemed Presidential Awards for their remarkable acts of bravery, exceptional leadership, and selfless dedication, as stated by an official announcement.


Their actions, executed under challenging operational conditions, showcased extraordinary bravery, precise execution, and a steadfast commitment to achieving mission goals. Earlier, Air Marshal J.S. Mann, the Senior Air Staff Officer of Western Air Command, visited forward bases in the Northern Sector.


He conducted a thorough assessment of operational activities, reviewing the maintenance of operational tempo, the strength of logistical support systems, and the resilience of infrastructure in a challenging environment, as reported by an official.


He commended the Air Warriors for their high morale, unwavering professionalism, and sustained combat readiness, which are essential to the Western Air Command's capability to secure air operations in forward areas.
