Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next-generation Galaxy S26 series. While there is no official confirmation regarding the launch date or specifications yet, reports and leaks have already started buzzing across the internet, giving us enough of an idea of what to expect.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Launch Date, Pre-booking and Sale Details (Expected) The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch on February 25 at the company's first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2026. Following the launch, the Galaxy S26 series will be available for pre-orders from February 26 to March 4, 2026. The pre-sale period is said to begin on March 5 and run until March 10, with open sales expected to start on March 11. The lineup will most likely include the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Samsung Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus Design and Features As per recent , both phones appear nearly identical, with the only noticeable difference being their screen sizes. Both models are expected to feature flat displays with a centered punch-hole camera and uniform bezels on all sides. The power and volume buttons are positioned on the right-hand side. On the back, both smartphones house a triple-camera setup placed in the top-left corner within a camera island. Both phones have flat back panels and flat frames. In terms of features, the standard model will likely sport a 6.3-inch fullHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. Samsung may continue its region-based chip strategy for the Galaxy S26 series as well, with some markets seeing Exynos variants and others using Snapdragon alternatives.
The standard Galaxy S26 is expected to be powered by Samsung's all-new Exynos 2600 chipset in Europe, paired with 256GB of RAM, while the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is rumoured to be used in other markets, including India. For optics, it will offer a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP front-facing sensor.  It could also pack the 4,300mAh battery, which will be an upgrade over the Galaxy S25's 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, it will run on Android 16 OS with One UI 8.5. Moreover, it's believed to ship with seven years of OS upgrades. Lastly, it will measure 149.6 x 71.7 x 7.2mm and weigh 137 grams. On the other hand, the Galaxy S26 Plus is expected to share the same software and chipset as the standard model. However, it could be equipped with a larger 4,900mAh battery with support for Wireless PowerShare charging. The smartphone is also tipped to feature a larger 6.7-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. For optics, it may feature 50MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 12MP ultra-wide lens and a 10MP telephoto camera. Upfront, it will also get the same 12MP sensor. Lastly, the Galaxy S26 Plus is tipped to measure 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3mm and weigh around 190 grams. Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra Design and Features (Expected) The reveal two colour options: Cobalt Violet and Black. Additionally, the device is also expected to be available in White, Silver Shadow, Sky Blue, and Pink Gold shades. In terms of design, the Galaxy S26 Ultra has a flat display with a centered punch-hole camera at the top. The device will also come with an in-built stylus. On the software front, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to run Android 16 with One UI 8.5 on top. Moreover, the phone will sport a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED display. It could pack a 5,000mAh battery, with support for Wireless PowerShare charging. Under the hood, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. For imaging, there will be a 200MP primary sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide camera, a 10MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, it will likely have a 12MP front camera. Lastly, it's tipped to measure 163.6 × 78.1 × 7.9mm and weigh around 214 grams. Samsung Galaxy S26 Series Price (Expected) The Galaxy S26 Ultra is tipped to be priced around EUR 100 lower than the Galaxy S25 Ultra for the 256GB and 512GB variants. If this turns out to be true, the next-gen Ultra model could start at around EUR 1,369 (roughly ₹1.47-₹1.51 lakh), compared to the current EUR 1,469 starting price of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 1TB variant is expected to retain the same price at EUR 1,849 (roughly ₹2.0 lakh). Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus are unlikely to see a price hike. Both the standard and the Plus variants currently start at EUR 919 and EUR 1,159, respectively, translating to roughly ₹99,000-₹1.28 lakh.
