Border 2: Sunny Deol’s much-awaited film Border 2 continues to maintain a good hold at the box office. Due to the spirit of patriotism, strong action and emotional story, the film is getting a lot of love from the audience. Since its release, everyone’s eyes have been on the earnings of Border 2. The film has earned well even on the ninth day, but despite this it has not been able to reach even close to the records of some big films.

Border 2 has been directed by Anurag Singh. Along with Sunny Deol, stars like Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty and Diljit Dosanjh are seen in important roles in the film. Due to the strong star cast and large scale, the film was expected to achieve huge box office figures.

How much was Border 2 Day 9 Box Office Collection?

According to preliminary data from box office tracking website Sacnilk, Border 2 has collected around Rs 17.75 crore on the ninth day i.e. second Saturday. Although the official figures of the film have not been revealed yet, but the initial trends are pointing in the same direction.

If this figure is considered correct, then the total box office collection of Border 2 has now reached around Rs 252.75 crore. This figure shows that the film is firmly in the Rs 250 crore club and its earnings are expected to continue further.

Why are questions being raised even after earning crores?

Even though Border 2 has done a business of more than Rs 250 crore in nine days, it is still being compared with some of the big films of recent years. This is the reason why questions are being raised regarding the earnings of the film.

Actually, Border 2 has lagged behind films like Dhurandhar, Chhaava and Animal in terms of earnings on the ninth day. These films had registered much bigger collections on their ninth day.

Border 2 did not even reach anywhere near Dhurandhar

The biggest difference at the box office has been seen with the film Dhurandhar. Dhurandhar had earned a whopping amount of Rs 53 crore on the ninth day. In comparison, the ninth day collection of Border 2 looks quite low.

Dhurandhar’s fast earning made it one of the biggest films of that era. This is the reason why despite the strong earnings of Border 2, it is being considered lagging behind in comparison.

Chava and Animal also left behind

Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava has also overtaken Border 2. Chhava had earned around Rs 44 crore on the ninth day, which is much more than Border 2.

Ranbir Kapoor’s superhit film Animal also collected Rs 34.74 crore on the ninth day. In this way Animal also remained ahead of Border 2. It is clear from these figures that even though Border 2 is earning well, it could not even come close to these three films in terms of record on the ninth day.

Day wise box office collection of Border 2

If we look at the day wise collection of Border 2, the beginning of the film was quite strong. The film had collected around Rs 30 crore on the first day, which is considered a strong opening.

The film’s earnings further increased on the second day and it made a business of Rs 36.5 crore. On the third day on Sunday, Border 2 showed a tremendous jump and earned around Rs 54.5 crore.

On the fourth day the film did a business of Rs 59 crore. On this day the film also got full benefit of the Republic Day holiday. After this, the film’s earnings declined on the fifth day and it earned Rs 20 crore.

The collection of Border 2 on the sixth day stood at Rs 13 crore, while on the seventh day the film did a business of Rs 11.25 crore. In this way, the total collection of the first week of the film was Rs 224.25 crore.

On the eighth day the film earned Rs 10.75 crore and then on the ninth day the news of earning around Rs 17.75 crore came out.

How is the film holding in the second week?

Border 2 continues to hold its ground even in the second week. While there was a decline in the film’s earnings on weekdays, there was a surge again on the second Saturday. This is an indication that audiences are still flocking to theaters on weekends.

This pattern of the film’s earnings suggests that word of mouth is working in favor of the film. The viewers who could not watch the film in the first week are now coming to watch it in the second week.

Effect of promotion and music also visible

Border 2 is produced by Nidhi Dutta and Bhushan Kumar. The film was promoted on a large scale, the impact of which was clearly visible at the box office. A huge buzz was created about the film even before its release.

The songs of the film were also very popular among the audience. Songs like Sandese Aate Hain to Mitti Ki Betay connected people emotionally. These patriotic songs further strengthened the atmosphere of the film.

Will Border 2 reach the Rs 300 crore club next?

Now the big question is whether Border 2 will be able to enter the Rs 300 crore club. If we look at the current trend, the film definitely has this chance, but for this it will have to maintain stable collection in the second week also.

If the film’s earnings remain like this in the coming days and there is not much competition from the new releases, then Border 2 can touch the figure of Rs 300 crores.
