Budget 2026: PM Modi Hails Infrastructure Push, Calls It Key To Viksit Bharat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Union Budget lays out major steps to boost India’s infrastructure, including dedicated freight corridors, nationwide expansion of waterways, high-speed rail projects, focused development of tier-2 and tier-3 cities, and a push for municipal bonds. He said these measures will provide a strong economic base for cities and accelerate the pace of Viksit Bharat.
