Hyderabad: The Special Investigation Team probing the phone-tapping case, has questioned former Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao at his Nandi Nagar residence in Banjara Hills on Sunday, February 1.
Six SIT officers have questioned KCR, who has been allowed one person with him during the questioning. KCR’s legal team informed the SIT that Santosh would accompany him, with advocate Ramachandra Rao available for legal assistance.
SIT makes arrangements at KCR’s Nandi Nagar house for questioning:
KTR will be present at the house during the questioning, as a family member. Harish Rao, along with MLAs, MLCs, and other leaders, will be also present in the building. The SIT officers, who had already arrived at the Nandi Nagar house, made all the necessary arrangements for questioning in one of the rooms.
Security has been beefed up around KCR’s house with five DCPs overseeing the arrangements. Four-tiered security measures have been put in place.
KTR, Harish Rao questioned last week:
KCR is being questioned shortly after BRS MLAs T Harish Rao, KT Rama Rao and former MP J Santosh Kumar were summoned and interrogated last week.
The accused in the case include former SIB chief T Prabhakar Rao, D Praneeth Rao, N Bhujanga Rao, Tirupatanna, Radha Kishan Rao, Shravan Rao for reportedly intercepting mobile phones of prominent political leaders, celebrities, journalists and judiciary.
