According to the Hindu calendar, Phalgun month is starting from 2 February 2026, which is considered the last month of the year. This month is known for changes in nature, arrival of spring and joyful atmosphere. Phalguna will end on 3 March 2026. This month is considered very auspicious from religious and spiritual point of view. One should maintain distance from Tamasic food, meat, alcohol and intoxicants, because this month is a symbol of devotion and restraint. It is also important to take special care of cleanliness. Dirt or untidy lifestyle is considered inauspicious. Along with this, it is advised to avoid anger, arguments and harsh words, because Phalgun is considered the month of love, harmony and joy.

Talking about the method of worship, it is considered best to take bath after waking up in Brahma Muhurta in Falgun. It is auspicious to mix Ganga water in bathing water. After this, water, flowers and roli should be put in a copper vessel and Arghya should be offered to the Sun God. Worship of Lord Shri Krishna or Radha-Krishna in this month is especially fruitful. Offer them yellow flowers, Abir-Gulal. Also, donating food, clothes or ghee to the needy increases virtue.
