New Delhi: Pakistan has decided to boycott their 2026 T20 World Cup match against arch-rivals India but play in their other matches that is scheduled to be held in Colombo.
“The Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan grants approval to the Pakistan Cricket Team to participate in the ICC World T20 2026,” Pakistan’s government announced on Sunday.
“…however, the Pakistan Cricket Team shall not take the field in the match scheduled on 15th February 2026 against India,” the government wrote on X.

Pakistan took the decision after International Cricket Council removed Bangladesh for refusing to play in designated tournament hosts India citing security concerns and and replaced them with Scotland.
