Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav has strongly challenged the state government over its decision to hand over the case of suspicious death of a student preparing for NEET in a hostel in Patna to CBI. He called it a living proof of the corruption and inefficiency of the administrative system.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar demanded a CBI inquiry from the Centre, which was confirmed by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday. The government claims that the culprits will not be spared from punishment.

Tejashwi made a sharp attack on X and said that by handing over the case to CBI instead of arresting the criminals, the government has proved that the system of Bihar is corrupt, inefficient, inefficient and unprofessional.
