Rs 10,000 crore fund to MSME in Budget 2026, top-up to micro units

New Delhi01 february 2026: : Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced a big package for the MSME sector in Budget 2026, which will provide direct support to small, micro and emerging industries. The biggest announcement is of a Rs 10,000 crore equity-supported development fund aimed at creating ‘champion MSMEs’, i.e. small industries that can become major exporters and employment creators.

To provide special relief to micro units, a top-up fund of Rs 2,000 crore has also been provided. This will help many small businesses raise capital, especially those that want to expand but face difficulties in getting bank loans. The government has also announced cash assistance under four different measures for trade and small businesses facing cash crunch.

Rs 40,000 crore to electronic equipment sector

To boost production, the electronic components sector has received a huge provision of Rs 40,000 crore. Electronics companies, supply chains and new factories will benefit from this. To strengthen the health research sector, 1,000 accredited clinical research sites will be created.

Dedicated mineral parks in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh

Under the Semiconductor Mission, emphasis will be laid on developing local production, Indian Intellectual Property (IP) and supply chain. Dedicated mineral parks for rare earth minerals will be set up in Odisha, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. This will significantly benefit the mining, processing and high-tech manufacturing sectors in the long run.
