Michael Carrick has quickly found a settled team at Manchester United, having taken over from Ruben Amorim, with several players emerging as undroppable in recent weeks. The Red Devils showed their mettle to defeat Fulham, having been pegged back through Kevin's 91st-minute equaliser, only for Benjamin Sesko to step up and find a winner three minutes later.
The 3-2 victory represents a third win in three games for Carrick, adding to upsets against Premier League title candidates Manchester City and Arsenal. The interim boss has quickly ripped up Amorim's tactical plan, implementing his own style of football, with the squad clearly thriving.
Club captain Bruno Fernandes has been an undroppable and, frankly, the first name on the teamsheet for years now. But very few of his team-mates have emerged as reliable performers in recent seasons.
That may be changing under Carrick, with his United side looking the best they have been in some time, with an unlikely European push now being mounted.
He reinstated fit-again Lisandro Martinez to the defence, which is now a back four. He has formed an exceptional partnership with Harry Maguire, while Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot have proven capable in their recognised positions.
But Martinez especially cannot be left out of the team right now, while United play only league games for the rest of the season.
He brings the ball out from the back better than anyone at the club and his left foot opens up different angles that none of the other defenders can replicate.

Just ahead of the back four, Casemiro has well and truly turned his United career around. It will be a shame to see him go at the end of the season.
He is such a huge upgrade over Manuel Ugarte, it would be unfathomable if the Brazilian did not play in every remaining game.
United recruited from the Premier League this summer to bring in Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, with both players proving big hits at Old Trafford.
They are versatile and Mbeumo especially has led the line in style under Carrick, though can still operate out wide and allow Sesko to come on to effect, just as he did against Fulham.
With Patrick Dorgu spending the next few weeks on the sidelines, Cunha keeping his spot on the left is a no-brainer.
United finally have another goal threat from the wing and his quality shone through once again when Fulham visited Old Trafford. There is no reason to leave him out again this season.
