The Haryana Thunders emerged victorious in the Pro Wrestling League 2026, triumphing in a thrilling final against the Delhi Dangal Warriors at the Noida Indoor Stadium on Sunday night. The match was intensely competitive, ending with a tie of 4-4 after eight bouts. The decisive moment came during the final women's 62kg match, where Iryna Koliadenko, a silver medallist from the Paris Olympics, showcased her skills under pressure. Her impressive technical superiority led to a 5-4 win, securing the championship for the Haryana Thunders.


Prize Money and Awards

As champions, Haryana Thunders will receive ₹1.5 crore in prize money along with the PWL 2026 trophy. The Delhi Dangal Warriors, as runners-up, will take home ₹75 lakh. Individual accolades included Turan Bayramov from Delhi, who was named Player of the Tournament, earning ₹2.5 lakh for winning all seven of his bouts in the 57 kg men's category, amassing a total of 59 points. Chandermohan from Punjab Royals was recognized as the highest point scorer of the tournament. Neha Sangwan from Haryana was awarded Player of the Match for her crucial performance, while Ronak from Delhi earned Fighter of the Match for his outstanding display in the men's 125 kg category. Akshay Dhere from Haryana was named Impact Player of the Match for his strong showing in the 57 kg men's category.


Bout-by-Bout Breakdown of the Final

The championship began with Delhi's Turan Bayramov taking an early lead in the 74kg men's bout, winning decisively with an 8-1 score. Haryana quickly responded in the 76 kg women's category, where U20 World Champion Kajal Dhochack narrowly defeated European Champion Anastasiya Alpyeeva 3-1, leveling the score.


In the 65 kg men's bout, Delhi's captain Sujeet Kalkal made a remarkable comeback to defeat World Championships silver medallist Tumur Ochir Tulga 8-6. Haryana's Yui Susaki then showcased her prowess, achieving a dominant technical superiority victory over Saarika, bringing the score to 2-2.


Delhi regained the lead in the 86kg men's bout, with Asian Championship bronze medallist Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar overpowering Ashirov Ashraf 11-0. However, Haryana's Akshay Dhere responded strongly, defeating Delhi's Amit Kumar by technical superiority in the 57kg men's match.


The heavyweight bout was crucial, with Ronak defeating Anirudh Gulia 12-2, putting Delhi ahead 4-3. Haryana's Neha Sangwan kept the competition alive by pinning Anjali in the 57 kg women's bout, leveling the score again at 4-4.


The Final Deciding Bout

In the pivotal 62 kg women's bout, Iryna Koliadenko rose to the challenge, demonstrating her experience and composure. She decisively defeated Anjali with a 16-0 technical superiority victory, clinching the title for Haryana Thunders and igniting celebrations among their supporters.
