BLA commander posted in a city of Balochistan killed by Pak security forces

Islamabad/Karachi: The operation of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) commanders continues in Balochistan province. BLA has so far claimed to have captured more than 14 cities. He is continuously advancing in Balochistan. BLA claimed to have killed 84 Pakistani soldiers in 24 hours, but Pakistan has accepted the death of only 17 soldiers. Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti on Sunday said that 17 Pakistani security personnel have been killed during several counter-terrorism operations in the last 40 hours. During this period he claimed to have killed at least 145 BLA fighters.

Pak security forces soldiers killed in these cities
Bugti said the action marks the highest number of BLA fighters killed by security forces in the province in less than two days since the war on terror began. He said that 17 personnel of law enforcement and security forces were martyred while fighting at various places like Quetta, Sibi, Gwadar, Noshki, Pasni etc. Earlier in the day, the Pakistan Army had said that at least 15 soldiers and 92 militants were killed in multiple counter-terrorism operations by security forces. The army said several locations were attacked on Saturday by militants linked to ethnic Baloch groups.

BLA captures 14 cities
BLA fighters claimed to have captured 14 nearby cities of Balochistan including Quetta, Mastung, Nushki, Dalbandin, Kharan, Panjgur, Tump, Gwadar and Pasni. Pakistan admitted that BLA tried to disturb the peace here. “Our brave soldiers fought with precision and killed 92 militants, including three suicide bombers, after long, intense and courageous clearing operations in Balochistan,” the Pakistan Army statement said.

Civilians also died during the operation
According to Pakistan, civilians were also targeted in the attack by BLA fighters, in which 18 people were killed. These included women, children, elderly and laborers. 15 soldiers were martyred in the clearance operations and the subsequent firing. Bugti told the media that the BLA used two female suicide bombers in Pasni and Quetta. “Our intelligence agencies had already anticipated a major attack on Quetta and on Saturday night these militants attacked security forces, including police and Frontier Corps troops, and civilians at 12 different locations,” he said. Two suicide bombers were also killed in Quetta.
