Police raid illegal cockfighting arena in Sullia

Sullia police conducted a raid on an illegal cockfighting operation at Ubaradka village in Sullia taluk on Saturday evening, based on credible information.
According to police, illegal cockfighting was taking place in a rubber plantation at Madaka in Mithur village. Acting on the tip-off, PSI Saraswathi along with staff conducted the raid.
On noticing the police presence, those involved in the cockfighting fled the scene. Police seized one motorcycle and four roosters from the spot.
A case has been registered at the Sullia Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
