This is great news for young people who are dreaming of a government job and have only passed the 10th grade. India Post has released a recruitment notification to fill more than 28,000 vacant posts of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) in various states across the country. The online application process for this vacancy has already started.
The last date for one-time registration is February 14, and the last date for completing the form and submitting the fee is February 16, 2026. Eligible and interested candidates can complete the application process only through online mode within the stipulated dates.
Eligibility Criteria for Filling the Form
To participate in the India Post GDS Recruitment 2026, the candidate must be an Indian citizen.
Must have passed 10th/Matriculation from any recognized board/institution.
Must have obtained passing marks in Mathematics and English subjects in 10th grade.
The minimum age should not be less than 18 years, and the maximum age should not be more than 40 years. Candidates belonging to the reserved category will be given relaxation in the upper age limit as per the rules.

On the website's homepage, click on the "Click Here" link related to "Registration for GDS Online Engagement".
On the new page, click on "Click Here to Register/Apply".
Click on "New Candidate Registration" and fill in the required details to register.
After that, fill in the other details to complete the application process.
Submit the application fee (if applicable).
Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
