Lewis Hamilton made his thoughts clear on Kanye West long before being romantically linked with Kim Kardashian. Ferrari Formula One driver Hamilton is reportedly dating American reality TV star Kardashian.

The Sun claims Hamilton, a seven-time F1 world champion, enjoyed an intimate dinner and a couple's massage with the mother-of-four in the English countryside recently. Hamilton, 41, is said to have met Kardashian for an evening at Estelle Manor, located in the Cotswolds. Their romantic getaway reportedly saw the 45-year-old fly in from Los Angeles on a £100million private jet to meet Hamilton, enjoying use of the spa before having a meal in a private room. The outlet reported a source to have said: "It all appeared to be very romantic. Kim and Lewis made use of all the facilities on offer. Two of the three stood guard outside the door to their room, so no one could disturb them."

The report may not go down well with American musician and fashion designer West, who Kardashian was married to for seven years until February 2021. West and Hamilton appeared to be close friends while the former was still with Kardashian.

The British F1 legend was seen at several high profile events with West in the mid 2010s and even spoke glowingly about the controversial artist, highlighting how they were "the same" and how he wished to be more outspoken like West. However, this was before a series of controversies involving West, including making antisemitic comments and other offensive remarks which he has subsequently apologised for.

In 2016, before those controversies, Hamilton shared how he was told by Kanye "not to give a f*** about what anyone thinks". He began by saying in a City A.M. interview: "It doesn't matter what the pundits say - 'Oh he's off travelling and partying' - I turn up and I win. Don't talk to me about what I can and can't do. I define who I am, I'm not defined by what people say. I might be in ten different countries in a week but I'll turn up at the track and kill it."

Hamilton, then 31, added: "I went to see Kanye at his house and he goes, 'You know, me and you are very much the same'. He said, 'I'm big in the music world but I'm trying to do what I love in fashion and people don't like it. You're big in your racing world but you love your music and people will probably struggle to accept that. You need to do what you love and not give a f*** about what anyone thinks'.

"Ultimately we shouldn't feel like we need to shrink ourselves for other people to feel comfortable. Kanye's outspoken, to say the least. I love that. He's electrifying in everything he does. I wish I could be that outspoken, I really do. But I'm signed to brands that have an idealistic image they wish to be connected with, so I need to be careful."

He said about being seen hanging out with models: "It's not good for the brand but I don't really care. What people write makes no difference to my life and it's not going to stop me winning races. Since school, I've always been into girls and there are some beautiful girls out there and that's definitely a good thing. I can't complain."

Despite previously bonding over fashion and music, Hamilton has not spoken about West publicly in recent years, coinciding with the latter's increasingly controversial comments. Adidas ended a partnership with West in 2022 following his antisemitic comments and he recently apologised for tweeting "I love Hitler" and "I'm a Nazi" last year. He has subsequently denied that he is a Nazi and took out a full-page advert in the Wall Street Journal to apologise for past antisemitic comments.

West said his behaviour was due to a his bipolar-1 disorder, resulting from a car accident 25 years ago. He claims his brain injury sustained from the crash was left undiagnosed until 2023.

He added: "In early 2025, I fell into a four-month-long manic episode of psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behaviour that destroyed my life.

"I lost touch with reality. Things got worse the longer I ignored the problem. I said and did things I deeply regret."

None of the trio have yet spoken publicly about the recent dating rumours. Hamilton and Kardashian reportedly checked out of the hotel at around 11am and left together in the two cars which had brought the latter from the airport.
