There's good news for young people dreaming of joining the Indian Army. The Indian Army has announced the registration dates for the online Common Entrance Examination (Army CEE 2026) for the recruitment of Agniveers and Junior Commissioned Officers/Other Ranks. According to the details provided on the official website, applications for the Army CEE Exam 2026 will start tomorrow, February 3rd. Candidates can apply by visiting the Army's official website, joinindianarmy.nic.in.
Youths from 8th to 12th grade can apply.
Different eligibility criteria have been set for different posts in this recruitment. The post-wise details are as follows:
To apply for Agniveer General Duty (GD) posts, candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th grade with 45% marks. Candidates with a driving license will be given preference for driver positions.
To apply for Agniveer Technical posts, candidates must have passed 12th grade with 50% marks. A minimum of 40% marks is required in each subject.
To apply for Clerk/Storekeeper Technical posts, candidates must have passed Intermediate/12th grade with 60% marks. A minimum of 50% marks is required in English, Mathematics, Bookkeeping, and Accounts.
To apply for Agniveer Tradesman posts, candidates must have passed 8th/10th grade with a minimum of 33% marks in all subjects.
To apply for Military Police posts, candidates must have passed 10th grade with 45% marks.
Candidates' minimum age should not be less than 17.5 years and not more than 21 years.
Indian Army Common Entrance Exam 2026: Application Fee
To apply for the Indian Army Common Entrance Test (CEE) 2026, all categories of candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 250. The application fee can be paid online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
Indian Army Recruitment: Selection Process
Candidates who participate in the Army CEE exam will qualify for the Agneepath recruitment drive announced in this session. After the exam, candidates will undergo a physical test for the new recruitments. Those who successfully clear the physical test will have to participate in the final stage, the medical examination. A final merit list will be prepared based on the performance of the candidates in all the stages.
