Madhya Pradesh Police is continuously taking strict and effective action against illegal drug trade in the state. In this sequence, City Kotwali police station of Mandsaur district has arrested two accused with MD drugs worth more than Rs 1 crore 50 lakh.
Action on informer’s information
On 01 February, police station Kotwali received information from the informer that Gulsher Khan Pathan, resident of Devalji, District Pratapgarh (Rajasthan), was coming to Mandsaur to sell drugs to Nand Kishore alias Nandu. On receiving the information, Kotwali Police took action at the place indicated by the informer and arrested Gulsher Khan Pathan and Nandkishore alias Nandu who was present with him.
Drugs recovered from the accused
During the search, 01 kg 500 grams of illegal MD drugs, whose estimated value in the international market is Rs 1 crore 50 lakh, was recovered from the possession of both the accused. Apart from this, illegal dodachura worth Rs 7,000 and two motorcycles used in the incident were also seized. A case has been registered against the accused in the police station under the NDPS Act.
