Right now the cold season is going on and very good green vegetables are coming in the market and one of them is everyone’s favorite vegetable is fenugreek. From which we prepare delicious vegetables like Puri, Paratha, Kadhi, Thepla and Fenugreek. But this vegetable is available only in cold form. If you want to make delicious dishes from this vegetable and enjoy it throughout the year, then you can store fenugreek vegetable in some easy ways for the whole year and keep the fenugreek fresh throughout the year. With this, aromatic fresh Kasuri Methi will be ready, which you can use in vegetables, pulses or many different dishes. So let’s find a quick way to save this fenugreek.
Step 1- Preparation of Fenugreek
First of all take fresh green fenugreek. Cut off the root part. Wash thoroughly in water 2-3 times so that the soil is completely removed.
Step 2- Drying (the most important step)
Put fenugreek in a sieve and let all the water drain out. Now spread it on a cotton cloth or kitchen towel. Keep for 6–8 hours or until the fenugreek dries completely. Keep in mind that there should not be any moisture, otherwise fenugreek may get spoiled.
Step 3- Dry Roast (Hack Wala Twist)
Heat a heavy bottom pan. Add dry fenugreek on low flame without oil. Fry while stirring gently until the fenugreek becomes crispy and the aroma starts coming out.
Step 4-Crushing
Turn off the gas and let the fenugreek cool down. Mash with hands or crush coarsely.
Step 5-Storage
Now fill it in an airtight glass jar. Keep the jar in a dry and cool place.
