MP’s Ishika Meena selected in shooting ball team, will increase India’s pride in World Cup

Vidisha. Ishika Meena, a promising player from Vidisha district, has brought glory to the district as well as the entire Madhya Pradesh by creating a new identity in the sports world. Ishika has been selected in the Indian Shooting Ball team and will represent India in the second Shooting Ball World Cup. The special thing is that he is the only player from Madhya Pradesh selected for this prestigious competition.

The Shooting Ball World Cup will be organized from 1 to 3 February 2026 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the capital New Delhi. Teams from 18 countries will participate in this international tournament organized by the Shooting Ball Federation of India. Ishika Meena has been given the important responsibility of being the main attacker in the Indian team.

    Ishika Meena’s educational and sporting journey has also been inspiring. She is an alumnus of Maharani Lakshmi Bai Girls School, Vidisha. She has completed her graduation in BPES and is currently pursuing B.P.Ed from Barkatullah University. Ishika has been continuously active in the field of sports and till now has participated in six national shooting ball competitions in senior, junior and sub-junior categories.

    Behind her success, the guidance of Shooting Ball Federation of India Treasurer and experienced coach Jitendra Singh Baghel has been important, who played an important role in enhancing Ishika’s talent. As soon as the news of Ishika’s selection was received, there was an atmosphere of joy in her school, sports world and the entire region.
