Sanju Samson was excluded
Parthiv Patel has selected the playing eleven of Team India for the first match against America. In which he has chosen Ishan Kishan as the opening partner of Abhishek Sharma in place of Sanju Samson. In the recently concluded 5-match T20 series against New Zealand, Sanju scored only 46 runs and 24 was his highest personal score, on the other hand, Ishan Kishan scored 213 runs in 4 innings. Which included match winning innings of 103 and 76 runs.
Reason for choosing Ishaan
On the question of giving preference to Ishan Kishan over Sanju Samson, Parthiv Patel said that at the beginning of the tournament, a player who is in full form should get a chance. The former batsman said,

Sanju Samson along with Harshit Rana, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar have also been dropped by Parthiv Patel from his team.
