Dhurandhar 2 new poster: The wait is over for fans of Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The makers have officially kick-started promotions for the sequel, with Ranveer Singh unveiling the film’s first look and confirming its title on Tuesday morning.
Formerly referred to as Dhurandhar 2, the high-octane spy thriller now carries the more pointed subtitle The Revenge. Scroll down to take a look!
Dhurandhar 2 is titled Dhurandhar: The Revenge
Ranveer shared the first-look poster across social media platforms in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The image shows him as Hamza, also known as Jaskirat, standing in pouring rain with clenched fists and a fierce stare. Bathed in a deep red glow, the poster signals a darker, more aggressive chapter ahead. Alongside the image, Ranveer wrote, “Ab Bigadne Ka Waqt Aa Gaya Hai,” hinting that his character is ready to unleash chaos as the story escalates.

The actor also confirmed key details about the film’s rollout. He announced that the teaser will drop at 12:12 PM today and revealed the theatrical release date. Dhurandhar: The Revenge will hit cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, releasing simultaneously in five languages. The scale suggests the makers are positioning the sequel as a major pan-Indian spectacle.
Is Akshay Khanna in Dhurandhar 2?
However, what truly set social media buzzing was a subtle detail in Ranveer’s post. While tagging the cast, he included Akshaye Khanna’s name. Akshaye played the antagonist Rehman Dakait in the first film, a character who met his end in the climax. His mention has fuelled strong speculation that the actor will return in the sequel, possibly through flashbacks or a parallel narrative tied to the revenge angle.
Dhurandhar box office collection worldwide
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the original Dhurandhar released on December 5, 2025 and followed an Indian spy infiltrating Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle its links with terror networks. The film also featured Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal, all of whom are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel.
The first instalment turned into a box office juggernaut, earning over Rs 1300 crore worldwide as per Sacnilk.com.
