Drishti IAS Revenue: Offline coaching firm Drishti IAS reported operating revenue of Rs 364 crore in FY25, down 10 per cent from Rs 405 crore last year, according to its audited financial results. Apart from this, EBITDA declined from Rs 127 crore to Rs 77 crore, while profit after tax declined from Rs 90 crore to Rs 61 crore year-on-year.
The organization said this decline should be seen in the context of broader sectoral normalization following Ind AS-based accounting adjustments and increase in offline admissions post-COVID. Since the market is currently in the correction phase, Drishti IAS expects profitability to remain under pressure in FY 2025-26.
Picture changed after COVID-19
The unusually high increase in classroom enrollments immediately following COVID-19 has now stabilized across the country, and student numbers have returned to pre-COVID levels. This readjustment has affected every coaching institute in Delhi and other centres. Additionally, in FY25, Drishti shifted its main branch from Mukherjee Nagar — the largest hub of UPSC coaching in Delhi — to a fully compliant facility in Noida. This shift resulted in a revenue loss of more than Rs 30 crore.
A look at Vikas Divyakirti’s vision IAS
Founded in 1999 by Vikas Divyakirti, Drishti IAS specializes in UPSC and PCS exam preparation and runs eight centers in Delhi, Noida, Prayagraj, Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore, Ranchi and Patna.
The company is expanding in both offline and online segments. CEO Vivek Tiwari said in a statement, “For the offline segment, we recently opened two new centers — Ranchi and Patna — in FY26. In the online segment, we recently launched low-fee studio-based programs. We have also successfully entered new verticals like Judiciary, Teaching Exams and SSC, and now we plan to enter Banking, Defense and School Education in the coming year.”
Initially a physical coaching institute, Drishti IAS launched its online wing during COVID in FY21. During FY2025, about 1/3 of the company’s revenue came from online operations and 2/3 from offline centres, and it is expected to shift towards a 50-50 ratio in the next two years.
