'What refrigerator holds the bodies?': Iran state TV mocks protesters

A television host on Iran's state-run Ofogh TV has sparked outrage by mocking the victims of the January 8-9 protests.
The host asked viewers in a sarcastic tone: "What type of refrigerator do you think the Islamic Republic keeps the bodies in?" He then offered multiple-choice answers such as "side-by-side fridge," "ice cream machine," and "supermarket freezer."
Sadegh Yazdani, the director of Ofogh TV, was removed following the backlash.

Following the widespread backlash, Yazdani was removed from his position by the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).
IRIB is alleged to have links to the Revolutionary Guards.
The decision to remove Yazdani was announced by Iran's state broadcaster, which cited "disrespect toward those killed in the January protests" as the reason for his dismissal.
