Super Bowl LX halftime show 2026: Bad Bunny confirmed for world’s biggest stage

Super Bowl LX 2026 has confirmed Bad Bunny for the historic halftime show performance at the world’s biggest stage, a decision supported by the NFL Commissioner, Roger Goodell, amid rising political debates regarding the Puerto Rican singer.

The major event scheduled at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on February 8 will be a milestone because for the first time a Spanish-speaking artist is going to headline the halftime show.

Bad Bunny expressed his gratitude for such an honour, saying:

“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown – this is for my people, my culture and our history.”

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell also supported Bad Bunny choice for the halftime show

The announcement has sparked an online debate with some expressing excitement and others highlighting his “ICE out” comments criticizing immigration enforcement at the Grammys.

Despite all the controversies surrounding the solo artist, Apple and the NFL are releasing a “Road to Halftime” to acknowledge the global impact of his music.

The audience will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to groove to Latin trap and reggaeton. According to some reports, there will be some entries from the Caribbean music industry.

Some of the conservatives like Turning Point USA have announced an alternative “All American” broadcast featuring Kid Rock. President Donald Trump has also criticized the choice as “ridiculous” in various interviews leading up to the game.

However, the NFL has refused to consider any other option than featuring the most streamed artist on the planet.
