The Beatles are getting individual biopics due out in 2028. Harris Dickinson will portray John Lennon, Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan will play Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn will play George Harrison.
The first images have been released from Sam Mendes eagerly anticipated Beatles biopics. The ambitious movie event will feature each band member receiving individual big-screen treatment. On April 1 last year, the cast was announced, with Harris Dickinson set to embody John Lennon, Paul Mescal stepping into the shoes of Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan portraying Ringo Starr, and Joseph Quinn taking on the persona of George Harrison.
Fans have now been given a first glimpse at the actors in character as the iconic Fab Four who formed in Liverpool in 1960 and conquered the globe. They continue to be celebrated for their timeless hits, such as Here Comes the Sun, Let It Be, and Hey Jude. The teaser shots are all at an angle and in close-up, showing the band members in different eras, with only Paul Mescal sporting the iconic early 1960s look. Meanwhile, most of the other seem to have been taken from the late 60s or early 70s. The movies are due for release in April 2028.
Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn is seen looking pensive as George Harrison in the advance images. His longer hair indicates this is a scene from the 1970s.
Saltburn's Barry Keoghan portrays Ringo Starr, and the first image released shows him channelling the drummer's late 1960s look.
The usually curly-haired Paul Mescal sports a mop top to portray an early-1960s Paul McCartney in a first-look image set in the legendary Cavern Club.
Babygirl's breakout star Harris Dickinson adopts John Lennon's trademark glasses in the advance image from the upcoming biopic.
