Popular TikToker, makeup artist, and actress Ayesha Butt has opened up about the harassment she faced in Pakistan’s entertainment industry. She made the revelations during her appearance on Fiza Ali’s 24 Plus Podcast.

Ayesha, who has a strong social media following of around 400,000, said she initially moved to Karachi to pursue a career in showbiz. However, she claimed that some producers and industry figures attempted to exploit her through casting couch offers.

“I was told that I could only get work if I agreed to sleep with certain producers,” she said. “Despite completing multiple photoshoots, stills, and web series projects, my work was either shelved or heavily cut because I refused these offers.”

Ayesha mentioned her work in the drama serial Sotan and collaborations with actors such as Agha Shiraz, Saleem Mairaj, and Sohail Sameer. She revealed one particularly disturbing incident with photographer Munna Mushtaq, who allegedly made inappropriate advances. “After that, I decided to leave the media industry,” she said.

She also spoke about an unnamed actor from the drama Mere Paas Tum Ho, claiming he made lewd propositions and pressured her to comply to advance her career. “Even though he has a wife in the industry, he chased me and told me that this was the only way to succeed,” Ayesha stated.

Following these experiences, Ayesha shifted her focus to her salon business. She said she continued to work hard, relying on skill and dedication rather than compromising her values.
