What a day to remember for DC in WPL 2026, skipper Jemimah Rodrigues led the team to their fourth consecutive final on Tuesday, triumphing over GG in a one-sided showdown in Vadodara, winning by 7 wickets. Now, Delhi is set to take on Bengaluru in the big final this Thursday. 

So far, they've faced disappointment in three finals two against MI and one against RCB. But this time around, things might just be different, especially with some players hitting their stride. Laura Wolvaardt has racked up nearly 250 runs, while Lizelle Lee isn't far behind with 240. Even Shafali Verma, despite her ups and downs, has managed to score 206 runs. 

On the bowling side, Nandani Sharma has been a standout with 14 wickets, and Shree Charani has matched her with the same number. Marizanne Kapp has also contributed significantly. All these efforts have really paid off for the team.

In the DC vs GG WPL 2026 Eliminator, Gujarat Giants put up a respectable 168 on the board, with Beth Mooney leading the charge with 62 runs off 51 balls.

However, they stumbled in the middle overs and fell short of the 200 mark. For Delhi Capitals, Chinelle Henry took three wickets, while Nandani grabbed two. 

As for the chase, every batter stepped up for DC. Lizelle Lee kicked things off with a thrilling 43 runs from just 24 balls, followed by Shafali's 31 off 21. Jemimah and Wolvaardt wrapped things up with 32 runs. 

The journey to the final wasn’t exactly smooth sailing. Until their last match, they were uncertain about making the playoffs, let alone reaching the final. They started off with two losses against MI and GG, then faced another defeat against RCB, and lost to GG once more.
