Tyson Fury has completely changed his tune after accepting his two defeats to long-time rival Oleksandr Usyk.
The 37-year-old announced his retirement from the sport in January 2025 following back-to-back defeats to the Ukrainian - only to perform a drastic U-turn six months later. Since the turn of the new year, the 'Gypsy King' has been improving his arsenal over in Thailand ahead of a return to the ring.
Fury will take on Russian powerhouse Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11 in the United live on Netflix - with a venue yet to be confirmed. The Morecambe scrapper is hoping to use the upcoming bout as a way to get some crucial rounds under his belt ahead of a huge summer showdown with a big name.
Since his last fight, Fury has had some time to reflect on his two defeats to Usyk. The heavyweight icon stormed out of the ring following his second loss to the Ukrainian in December 2024. Just moments after the crushing defeat in Saudi Arabia, Fury claimed: "I think he (Usyk) got a Christmas gift from the judges," before insisting that he won both encounters.

• New Tyson Fury theory emerges ahead of latest comeback fight
Following confirmation of his comeback later this year, the 'Gypsy King' was eager to address his fans on social media. In a video posted to social media, he said: "Just a quick update this morning. To let you know what time it is and where we are. Very, very blessed in my life to have received the highest of the highs and the lowest of the lows. And I am very thankful to God for the experience that I have had whether it has been good or bad or different. It's all made me the man I am today.
"I have had such a marvellous career that I am really thankful for. Worked very hard. But it has all been God's plan. Everything that has happened has been God's plan. Even today... the comeback at 37 years old is God's plan and God's will. And we will see where it takes us. No problem."
Despite his staggering comments after his fights with Usyk, Fury seems to have accepted the losses, claiming it was all a part of. 'God's plan.' He continued: My last two fights, I did not get the results I was after. Oleksandr (Usyk) got the results over me. Fair play to his team and everybody around it... it's life lessons. In this life, you do not always get what you want. You do not always get what you think you want and what you think you did enough to get.
"However, that is where it stays. You do not here my crying about 'oh my God, he cheated'. You do not hear any of that s*** because that is not me. There is no point in crying over spilt milk. Oleksandr is a fantastic fighter and a fantastic person.

"He is a God fearing, Christian, family man, whom I respect to the utmost. And I wish all the best in his career. And if we ever get to share the ring again, fantastic. We have had two brilliant fights. Two brilliant close fights. He got W's in both of them. But, we move on and I am ever thankful for the Lord for what he has given me and every road he has taken me down. It was not supposed to be for me over in Saudi Arabia. And, at the time, I was very hurt by that, I was thinking 'what has gone on here? How has this happened to me, God?'
"And I realised that everything is God's plan and God's timing. And I am just so thankful and so blessed to be in this position and on the verge of a massive return in 2026. Let's not forget this big bad boy turned pro in 2008.... a long time ago, and is still continuing. I am old, I am bald, I am slower, but I am still the 'GK'. I am still the 'Big Mac'... and the 'Mac' is returning. April 11, 2026. Where will you be?"
