Accident captured in CCTV: Car crushes mother and daughter in Ghaziabad

A speeding car crushed a woman and her daughter in Ghaziabad. The woman was dragged on the bonnet for 50 metres, her leg broken. The girl is serious. The accident was captured in CCTV, the driver is in custody.

Uttar pradesh: This accident happened at Sain Chowk of Vijayanagar police station area. It is clearly visible in the CCTV footage that Muskaan, a resident of Man Sarovar Park, comes out of the house with her 6-year-old daughter Vaishnavi. After going some distance she stops and then starts turning back towards home.

Meanwhile, a Swift Dezire car coming at a high speed hits a biker standing on the roadside. After the collision, the car goes completely out of control and moves straight towards the woman and her daughter walking on the road.

Woman dragged on car bonnet for 50 meters

The uncontrolled car first hit the woman, due to which she jumped and fell on the bonnet of the car. After this the car did not stop and the woman remained hanging on the bonnet for about 50 metres. Finally she fell on the road.

In this painful accident, the bone of the woman’s left leg was broken. With the help of local people, the injured woman was immediately taken to Sanjeevani Hospital, where her treatment is going on. Seeing the accident, the people present at the spot got scared.

In the accident, the woman’s 6-year-old daughter Vaishnavi was also injured in the car collision. The girl suffered serious head injury and was first admitted to Aastha Hospital, but considering her critical condition, she was referred to Delhi.

During this time, an 8 year old child present on the road also narrowly escaped being hit by the accident. The uncontrolled car moved ahead and hit three other vehicles including a scooter. Ultimately the car collided with a Baleno car coming from the front.

Due to continuous collisions, there was chaos on the road and traffic was also affected for some time.

Identification from CCTV

As soon as information about the incident was received, Vijayanagar police station reached the spot and inspected the entire incident site. The footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was scrutinized, in which the entire incident was captured. Police identified the car on the basis of CCTV footage and took it into custody. The car driver has been identified as Dhruv Sharma, a resident of Vijayanagar.

The police have taken the accused driver into custody and started questioning. Police officials say that in the preliminary investigation, high speed and careless driving appear to be the main reasons for the accident. Further legal action is being taken in the matter.
