India to host 2027 Asian Rifle-Pistol Championship

The shooting intensity will intensify in New Delhi. The Asian Shooting Confederation has announced that India will host the Asian Rifle and Pistol Championships in 2027. The competition will be held from December 1 to 10 at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range, where eight quota places will be available for the Los Angeles Olympics 2028.

This event will bring a golden opportunity for Asian shooters. The National Rifle Association of India will take charge of this. India’s recent performance has been excellent. Paris Olympics 2024 secured 16 quotas and sent 21 shooters, more than Tokyo’s 15. Created history by winning three bronze medals.

Currently, Delhi is organizing the Asian Shooting Championship from 2 to 14 February. India has fielded the largest squad of 118 players, which is more than a third of the total of 311. After Kazakhstan’s 35 and Iran’s 28, the teams of Korea, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Vietnam, Hong Kong are strong.

There will be exciting battles in 564 events across 20 countries. India is fully expecting a medal and experience on home ground. This hosting in 2027 will make India the shooting hub of Asia.
