WhatsApp Channels to Get Profile Creation Feature

A report from WABetaInfo indicates that a profile creation feature is coming to WhatsApp Channels. This feature was spotted in the iOS 26.4.10.73 beta update, which is currently available on the App Store. WABetaInfo tracks upcoming WhatsApp features, and its information is usually 99 percent accurate.

According to the screenshot included in the report, WhatsApp Channels will have an option to create a profile. With this feature, channel administrators can create their personal profiles. They will be able to add their name and photo, which will be visible to followers. The administrator's phone number and other details will remain completely private.

To maintain privacy, the administrator's phone number and other details will remain completely hidden. Followers will only see the channel administrator's name and image. This profile can also be deleted.

Where will the feature be located?

The profile creation feature in WhatsApp Channels will be available in the Channel Info screen. This will allow channel owners to create their profiles, giving them an identity on the platform. Currently, this tool is in the development phase. It is expected to be rolled out to users in February or March.
