The incident took place when the man was skiing with a group of friends between Niseko Moiwa Ski Resort and Niseko Annupuri International Ski Resort in Niseko, Hokkaido, 9 News reported, citing a translation of a local media report. Police joined the search for the man, who was found being given CPR by a group of four.

The group of friends turned around to locate the man and found the man being given CPR by four others. Firefighters rescued him, and he was rushed to a hospital where he died.
