The Bihar government's Education Department has issued a general notice regarding the Chief Minister's Kanya Utthan Yojana and the Chief Minister's Balak/Balika Protsahan Yojana for 2025-26. Under this notification, incentives will be provided to students who passed the Intermediate and Matriculation examinations in 2025. The scheme aims to promote education in the state and empower students to become self-reliant.

The government has clarified that to avail the benefits of this scheme, students who passed the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations in 2025, conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), will be required to apply online on the MedhaSoft portal. The last date for applying is February 15, 2026. No applications will be accepted after the stipulated time.

Who can apply?
The scheme will only benefit students who passed the Matriculation or Intermediate examinations in 2025 from the Bihar Board. Different schemes have been established for different categories of students, such as General Category, Backward Classes, Extremely Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, and Scheduled Tribes. Under the Chief Minister's Kanya Utthan Yojana, an incentive of ₹25,000 will be given to unmarried girls who have passed intermediate. How to Receive the Money
The government has clarified that the incentive amount will be transferred directly to students' bank accounts through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer). For this, the bank account must be linked to Aadhaar. The bank account must be in the student's name.

How to Apply
Students must first visit the website www.medhasoft.bihar.gov.in. After logging in, they must register. Students who have not already registered must complete the registration before the deadline. During the application, information such as roll number, registration number, Aadhaar number, and bank details must be entered correctly. Incorrect information may result in rejection of the application.

The Education Department has warned that submitting incorrect documents, providing false information, or reapplying will result in the cancellation of the benefit.
