Investigation has revealed that the girl was employed in domestic work for the last six years. During this period, she was not only forced to work, but was also physically tortured. Considering the age of the girl, this case is being considered as a direct violation of child labor law and serious provisions related to child protection.
An official of the District Labor Task Force said that as soon as the team arrived, the landlady Arina Laskar Khatoon clearly denied the presence of the girl. They claimed that the girl's father had taken her with him three-four days ago.
However, as the activities inside the house seemed suspicious, the officials sought permission for inspection. Initially this was opposed, but when the search was conducted in the presence of the magistrate, the truth came to light.
