Actress Alia Bhatt is now ready for a completely new and interesting project after the spy action film ‘Alpha’ and period romantic drama ‘Love and War’. According to media reports, Alia will soon be seen in a relationship drama film named ‘Housewife’. This film will be directed by ‘Drishyam 2’ director Abhishek Pathak. The story of the film will revolve around the relationship of a married couple, in which Alia will be seen playing the role of a housewife.

Rajkumar Rao can be paired with Alia

According to reports, talks are going on with actor Rajkumar Rao for the male lead. He has definitely shown interest in the project, but has not signed any official contract yet. If this casting is finalized, it will be the first on-screen collaboration of Alia and Rajkummar Rao. The special thing is that Alia will not only act in this film, but will also co-produce it under her production company ‘Eternal Sunshine Productions’.

When will the film start?

She is going to join hands with Abhishek Pathak’s Panorama Studios for this project. The shooting of the film is likely to begin between August-September 2026, which will go on floors after the shooting of Abhishek Pathak’s ‘Drishyam 3′ is completed. Apart from this, there is news that Alia is also in talks on many projects for 2027. Maddock Films’ horror-comedy ‘Chamunda’ is also said to be included in these.

Alia is going to be seen in ‘Alpha’

On the work front, Alia will next be seen in Yash Raj Films’ high-octane action thriller ‘Alpha’ set in the spy universe, directed by Shiv Ravel. In this film, Alia and Sharvari Wagh will be seen as commanding officers of an elite all-women combat unit, while Bobby Deol also plays an important role.

When will ‘Alpha’ be released?

Initially ‘Alpha’ was to be released on Christmas 2025, but later its release date was fixed as April 17, 2026. However, now it has been postponed once again and it is expected that the film will hit the theaters by the end of 2026, although the new release date has not been officially announced yet. Apart from this, Alia will also be seen in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited film ‘Love and War’ with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. On the work front, she was last seen in Vasan Bala’s ‘Jigra’ opposite Vedang Raina.
